Father's Day is next Tuesday!
For those who like to cuddle dad with something homemade, here is a sweet and fun suggestion that I've created for the 2nd edition of Paper and Cotton - a 100% Portuguese magazine, not to be missed by anyone who enjoys arts & crafts.
Although this is not quite a recipe, below I tell you all necessary steps.
Have a nice weekend!
Colheres de bigodes de chocolate
Colheres descartáveisde tamanho médio/grande
Chocolatede culinária
Chocolatebranco
Papelvegetal

Chocolate mustache spoons
Plastic spoons - size medium / large
Dark chocolate
White chocolate
Parchment paper
Disposable pastry bags
Printed mustaches template (there are some here, for example)
Satin ribbon
Cellophane bags
Staples or double tape
The amounts of chocolate depend on the number of spoons, count on about 15 g of chocolate to fill each spoon + 20 g of chocolate for each mustache (you'll get leftovers, but we need more quantity than we really use in the spoons, so we can work).
Print the mustaches template.
(you can use only one print of a mustache at a proper size)
Melt one type of chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave, being careful not to burn the chocolate.
Place part of the melted chocolate in the pastry bag.
Place the mustache print beneath the parchment paper, cut the tip of the bag and draw on top with chocolate. Move a little away the parchment paper and draw another chocolate mustache, and so on until you have done the necessary mustaches.
Allow to dry (if any hurry, take the parchment paper to the fridge to solidify faster).
Place the plastic spoons in a tray with their handles on the edge so that they are in horizontal position.
With the remaining melted chocolate, fill the spoons, with the help of a small spoon.
Do the same with the other type of chocolate.
When the mustaches are dry, carefully remove them from the parchment paper and apply them on the spoons: if the chocolate of the spoons is too hard, dip a teaspoon in boiling water, wipe with a cloth and touch quickly and carefully, with its back, the area where the mustache will be pasted, to melt a bit. Apply the mustache and let dry.
Once dry, take a bow on the handle of the spoon wrap in cellophane bag.
Close the bag down with staples or double tape.
